DIVINE MACHINE

This is a slightly older photo of where I live, Louisville Kentucky. What you can’t see in this photo at the bottom right, by the dirt patch, is the Big Four Bridge, which I posted earlier today, that is being turned into a car free bridge to connect Louisville Kentucky, and Jeffersonville Indiana on the other side of the mighty Ohio. 

Currently, I ride by bike across the bridge in the middle of the picture, the 2nd Street Bridge, also officially known as the Clark Memorial Bridge. It’s 1 mile across.  It’s four lanes for cars, with a “Shared Lane” for motorists and cyclists. There is a small sidewalk on both sides, and that’s where I ride because that’s where I feel safest. 

This picture is spectacular, as are all the other pictures of this area that you can find on the Flickr site of Lynceus.

I love looking at this and thinking “Oh, there are the Falls of the Ohio State Park fossil beds!” (at the top left in Southern Indiana). And “Oh, there is the 24 hour free skateboard/BMX Extreme Park! (close to the lowest left corner in Louisville Ky), as well as “OH MY Look at beautiful Waterfront Park! I just Mumford & Sons play there!” (The green space along the Ohio on the Louisville side)…. Louisville is so awesome!
