After seeing this pretty Bianchi set up with some panniers I’m thinking of taking my trusty old Giant and putting a waterproof rear set up on it for my rides across the river to and from work…. I’m tired of the damned messenger bag digging into my sternum.

New touring bike goodies thanks to Clarksville Schwinn here in Clarksville Indiana. Serfas “vintage” pump to mount on the Specialized Expedition as well as a map case, handlebar bag, front and rear panniers by Ortlieb in the color Hazel. Putting it all on the bike on my next day off… I’ll be on the Giant with that huge uncomfortable Chrome bag until then. I cannot WAIT to get that thing off my back, literally….
Ortlieb Back Roller Plus on a nice looking bike, on a nice looking beach.

Attempting to figure out which bags are going to work with my Specialized Expedition for my summer and fall rides and not finding any locally to compare, I’ve resorted to searching the internet. I’m really bummed out that the Ortlieb site doesn’t have some kind of diagram set up that gives you a visual of how big the bags are on a bike.
So here is a 58cm Surly with Bike Packer Plus rear panniers on it, you can read this fella’s review of them on his blog at http://recklesscognition.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/ortlieb-bike-packer-plus-panniers-review/
I would kill for some decent photos of all the Ortlieb products mounted on a “control” bicycles so I could how big or small they actually are.
