Killer photo set!

A few from the muddy, muddy season opener of the Sacramento Cyclocross series here in NorCal. The Giant Kronos I’ve been rebuilding that my oldest brother gave to me. Did pretty much everything aside from overhaul the wheels and replace the rear cassette.

New bars. New tubes and tires. New bottom bracket, crankset, seat, brakes etc.

Mostly excited about the Paul Duplex Dual Pull brake lever. Solid and strong pull on the Ultegra brakes.

The Big 4 bridge, although not exactly complete, opened today in Louisville Kentucky. Photos from Jenny Morse.

A few shots from the Louisville Bicycle Club Facebook page of the Raleigh SSCX Derby here in Louisville tonight.

It was very cold, and the blurs in the pictures are snow.

The first photo was a section where the jamz were the loudest, riders barreled through a tent filled with smoke from a fog machine and flashing club lights, dubbed the “Belgian Disco”.

The second picture is self explanatory. We’re all adults here.

Third photo was my favorite spot, because it was the warmest. The flames could be height adjusted, people bunny hopped it, failed to bunny hop it, tried to melt the sex dolls over it, and dismounted and jumped. It was so warm there. Toasty.

Bottom picture is my hero, the local dude that rode the whole race on a fucking unicycle. Quickly. Bad assery.

This is a photo of some of Louisville’s “crack” amateurs. No, they’re not on drugs, crack was short for crackajack. The year was 1896 and notice the box seats at front of the grandstand at Fountain Ferry Track
